Frequently asked questions
Can every PDF be repaired?
No. If parts of the file are missing completely, that content cannot be restored. Structure errors, which are the most common cause, can usually be fixed.
Why does my PDF open in one program but not in another?
Some readers tolerate errors, others do not. A repaired file follows the standard and opens everywhere.
Does repairing change the content?
No. The pages are taken over as they are; only the internal file structure is rebuilt.
